Mr. Kendedrick Jones, Director of Residence Life and Academic Advancement
Mr. Kendedrick Jones will be joining The King's Academy from Oxford Intermediate School in Oxford, MS. Mr. Jones has served Oxford School District for the past nine years as an assistant principal and biology teacher. Mr. Jones earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Science Education from The University of Mississippi in May 2013. He then went to Louisiana State University, where he earned his Master’s in Education Leadership in 2016.
Mr. Jones loves everything about education, especially serving students and families. He has received numerous awards and recognitions. Most recently, he was recognized as one of Mississippi Business Journal’s Top 50 Under 40 for the state of Mississippi for 2021. A native of Terry, MS, a small town 20 miles south of Jackson, Mr. Jones is the proud uncle of five adorable nieces. He is greatly looking forward to partnering with and serving the students and families of The King's Academy.
Mr. Jones will be responsible for the day-to-day activities and management of our Residence Life Department. His desire to provide engaging activities, meaningful academic support to dorm students, and a genuine desire to live out the gospel daily among our students will be a strong asset to our community. Along with his duties in Residence Life, Mr. Jones will also serve our students as the Director of Academic Advancement. Under the guidance of departmental principals, Mr. Jones will work to provide instructional coaching for teachers, curriculum development, assistance with classroom discipline, and provide support for our academic programs and leaders. We are grateful for his years of experience in top-notch schools in Mississippi and are looking forward to the assistance and ideas he will bring to our team.
Mr. Jones' first day will be June 1st. Please join me in welcoming Mr. Kendedrick Jones to our TKA family.
