Dear Friends,

I am happy to update you on new developments in The Interfaith Center for Sustainable Development (ICSD). In the virtual sphere, we recently launched a new website, created a logo and a Linkedin profile, and now have a Wikipedia page. In face-to-face encounters, we implemented a range of projects on the connection between faith, coexistence, and ecology.

Jerusalem Old City

ICSD is pleased to welcome Avril Promislow, David Miron Wapner, and Gundula Madeleine Tegtmeyer to our Board of Directors, and Lev Israel to our Financial Oversight Board. Their bios can be viewed by clicking here. We are also happy that Liel Maghen has joined our staff as Program Coordinator. We thank Alicen Roberts, Majorie Amon, Dasi Robbins, and Leora Kirtner for their contributions to our work as interns.

Jewish Learning in the Forest at Mitzpe Masua

ICSD recently received a grant from Anne Frank Fonds for its Women's Interfaith Ecology Project in Israel. Based on this support, ICSD is planning a series of seminars, beginning in December 2013, which will bring together Christian, Muslim and Jewish women to focus on eco Issues in religious traditions.

During the summer, ICSD worked with a range of interfaith, Christian and Jewish groups on the connection between the Holy Land, faith, and ecology, through our eco-tourism branches Eco Israel Tours and Jewish Eco Seminars. Currently we are planning seminars on faith and ecology for students in the Holy Land.

With regards from Jerusalem,

Rabbi Yonatan Neril
