Prayer needs sent by early Monday morning will be included in the weekly Joys & Concerns email. We are also glad to send out prayer requests and praise reports anytime throughout the week! | Encouragement Thank you to Marcia Kreps for sharing and Darla Smith for writing these weekly bits of encouragement. "God is our friend that sticks closer than a brother. How wonderful is that? I pray you all have been enjoying the sunshine. Spring is almost here. The birds have been singing their songs. God is so good!" "My word for this week is “REACT.” How I “react” to things now is a whole lot better than what I did a while back. It has been something I have asked God to help me with and He has. But I do slip up. Just yesterday, I did not “react” in a way that was right with my son and needed to apologize. God will definitely check us on the way we “react.” That is why I say every week, let the Holy Spirit guide us in our daily walk. More of Him and less of us is what we need. Sometimes we get great news and we “react” accordingly. When we share good things with a friend or family, we love to see how they “react." Look at our Facebook page – when someone likes, loves, laughs, etc. we do notice how they “react.” I have to say I do. But how do we “react” when someone goes against our grain, so to speak? I have been asking the Holy Spirit to check every time I “react” to something that is not the way I believe. Agreeing to disagree sometimes is the only way to keep showing love. You all may not think the same way as me, but God has really been speaking to me regarding this. That is ok – we can agree to disagree too. Also, when we hear bad news the same thing goes – how do we “react?" I pray we'll all grow in this. We can “react” positively to something that may not be. I pray we can all “react” in a loving way in all our ways. That is God’s way – a loving way. Let the Holy Spirit be your check valve before we “react." Have a wonderful, blessed week!" Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer. ~ Psalm 19:14 (NKJV) | March Worship ~ Online & In-Person Pastor Mike Hileman ~ Sundays at 11:00am Join us at church or online via Facebook Live: Connecting Life We will continue to be guided by the health and safety guidelines set forth by the governor and the health department, so we require masks to be worn in our building at all times. We're excited to welcome you to Worship, in church and online! ~~~ | Maundy Thursday Tenebrae Service ~ Thursday, April 1 from 7-8pm The Service of Tenebrae: Tenebrae is the Latin term for "shadows" and is a Holy Week tradition dating far back into the history of the Christian Church. It is characterized by the twelve disciples at the Last Supper, each one reading a brief passage by candlelight. The gradual loss of light is symbolic of the flight of the disciples. The moment of total darkness recalls the days Jesus spent in the tomb. This moving tradition prepares us to break out on Easter morn with great joy. | www.goodnessgrows4all.org Our Mission Statement: To cultivate personal, social, and community growth through gardening, education, and opportunity for people of all abilities. ~~~ | News of the Week Spring is on our minds and in the air!
