Hello everyone!

One of the unwritten rules I have when I seek out a new shelter to partner with and deliver to is: no child goes without. When I plan a delivery, I always make sure that EVERY child between the ages of 2-18 staying in the shelter can be given an art pack.

We keep extras in the car when we deliver, waiting to be personalized just in case. I have even returned the following day when there are brand new kids that didn’t make the list and we don’t have suitable extras.

It’s extremely important to me that no child feels left out; they have enough on their plate to worry about.

When I contacted the agency responsible for overseeing a group of motels in the North Shore area that house families experiencing homelessness, I planned to follow the same guidelines.

Currently, they service 260 children staying in 4 motels; this is the biggest single agency order I have ever had.

With a previously scheduled delivery of 106 art packs going out on April 7th to two agencies in Lynn, this one is going to be a challenge. I could fill a half of the order and wait to fill the rest, but “no child goes without” is a rule that I don't want to break.

We will be filling this order on April 26th at the First Church In Swampscott, starting at 1pm.

Besides people to fill art packs, we are asking everyone to consider making a donation of art supplies or a monetary donation on our website. There is a link below to download a list of supplies we distribute.

One art pack costs 15.00 to put together and it would make a world of difference to one of the 260 kids we are trying to help.
