Green and ethical investment workshop. Operation Noah’s Bokani Tshidzu is running a workshop on green and ethical investment for Green Christian on Wednesday 10 March. She will look at the rationale for ethical investment and how we can make a difference through investing responsibly for the environment.
Greenfaith International Network Launches. On 11 March, GreenFaith will officially launch a new network and the Sacred People, Sacred Earth campaign.
Research explores young Christians’ concerns about the climate crisis. New research from Youthscape and Tearfund shows that nine out of ten young Christians are concerned about the climate crisis but only one in ten think their church is doing enough about it.
Church of England appoints new bishop for the environment. The Bishop of Norwich, Graham Usher, has accepted the invitation of the Archbishop of Canterbury to lead the Church of England’s Environment Programme with a charge to lead bold, deliberate, collaborative action across the Church to tackle the grave existential crises of climate change and biodiversity loss.
Climate change and health warning report. This month the Climate Change Coalition, the UK Health Alliance on Climate Change and the Priestley International Centre for Climate published a report showing that the health of more than 12 million people in the UK alone is vulnerable to the impacts of climate change.
Climate Outreach webinars. Climate Outreach is running two free webinars during March. One is about the imagery we use when we communicate about the climate emergency and the other is to help campaigners engage the public on COP26.
