What are the experts saying about the new Peachtree 2.0 nova series?

There has been much excitement around Peachtree Audio lately. The improvements in engineering and manufacturing have been nothing short of radical. These investments made over the last two years have led to better sound quality, performance and ultimately, a much better product.

The reviews below reflect many of these improvements.

Over the last two and a half years, we've hired the best engineering team in audio, redesigned all Peachtree circuits and moved nova manufacturing from China to North America.

Our goal was simple. We wanted to bring a line of integrated amplifiers to the market that, no matter the source, would rival the performance of the most respected audio components in the world, regardless of price.

We know of no other integrated amplifiers made with this kind of performance, these features and this much power - at even double the price.

To further widen the gap, the preamp section offers a 111dB s/n ratio. This is a spec you'll seldom see at any price. Add in the new ultra efficient Class D amps and the ESS Reference Sabre DAC, plus manufacturing in North America, and it's easy to see why Peachtree is getting such great reviews from experts and end users alike.

Speakers that once required very expensive electronics are being easily driven by the new novas. This allows you to get the very best speaker (the most important part) without compromising your system's sound.

The reviews below reflect and echo our new successes and the fulfillment of our stated goals.

"Comparing what I heard then with what I heard this week, I have to say the nova300 is better than the twice-as-expensive Grand Integrated ($4500). This is what Peachtree Audio 2.0 is all about. New products, better engineering and even better value."

"I had the nova150 in my system only three months ago. This is part of the reason why I wanted to get the nova300 in here so quickly. I could compare the two while both were fresh in my mind. People considering the nova150 will no doubt be pleased with its performance. It's a good amplifier. However, the nova300 is the homecoming king, the captain of the team, and the president of the senior class, rolled up into one item. Power, control, and finesse. This is the nova you want." _ Chris Connaker

"With so much functionality in such asmall box, the Nova delivers a lot of sonic surprises and no weak spots. It’s clearly evident how much time was taken to voice this component for maximum sonic synergy." _ Rob Johnson

A Price-Performance King

"Peachtree has engineered a winner with the Nova 150. At $1,599, it represents a real bargain for all the functionality it offers.

If you are new to the world of hifi, put the Peachtree Nova on your holiday gift list. You need one. Resistance is futile; there’s no easier way to get into high-end audio, and no way you’ll find a combination offering more performance."
Jeff Dorgay

"Awarding the Nova one of our last Exceptional Value Awards for 2016 is our pleasure."

"Matching the nova150’s performance and feature set with separates would be a snipe hunt."

"Peachtree’s Dy-NEC USB A input is for digitally siphoning ones and zeroes from suitably equipped smartphones and tablets – that means current iOS devices hooked up via Lightning-to-USB cable or selected Androids + intervening OTG cable. They’ll recharge as they play.

In handing over D/A conversion to the nova150, we bypass the smartdevices’s inferior DAC and 3.5mm-terminated headphone output whose days in iPhone-land are numbered anyway.

Handling the incoming data stream asynchronously, Peachtree claim their Dy-NEC input to be a world first in eliminating electrical noise spilling from the upstream device’s screen and/or power supplies." _ John Darko

Nova150 Ebony Environment-3

"The new Peachtree Audio nova150 integrated amplifier is a wonderful example of what better engineering and manufacturing can do for sound quality. These improvements can be objectively measured and subjectively enjoyed by anyone. Whether one is using the standard asynchronous USB input that supports DSD128/PCM384, or the iOS USB input with its Dy-NEC isolation, the quality of the output is nearly identical. Peachtree has packed a number of great features into the nova150, that place it on a pedestal for the competition to attempt to dethrone. World class engineers, made in North America, reference grade DAC chip, unity gain: direct amp in, Dy-NEC, 111dB S/N, home theater bypass, true analog phono stage, dedicated headphone amplifier, and an absolutely gorgeous cabinet for $1,599.

The nova150 embodies the new Peachtree Audio 2.0 ethos with unmatched features and sound quality at an exceptional price. For those of you who thought previous Peachtree components were great, and for those of you interested in dipping your toe into the Peachtree waters, you must listen to the nova150 and the sound of Peachtree Audio 2.0."

"The Nova150 was an even better match with my Magnepan .7 flat panel speakers. The .7s crave power, and the Nova150 delivered gobs of it."

Bass definition and oomph were truly exceptional, better than I've heard from the .7s mated with other integrated amps. The speakers transparency shined ever so brightly, and since the .7s are almost five feet tall their sound was closer to life-size than any bookshelf speakers, or even most comparably-priced tower speakers could produce.

The Nova150 is available in piano black or a downright gorgeous ebony mocha wood finish, direct from the Peachtree Audio Web site or through its brick and mortar dealers for $1,599. If you need more power, step up to the 300 watt per channel Nova300 for $2,299"
