We can continue to join together in Worship and Praise and Prayer, whether in the Sanctuary or on Facebook. The CGCC website has a Contact/Prayer Request page, you can email Jen Lynch directly, or use commonground.secretary@gmail.com. ~~~ | COVID-19 Protocols - Changes Coming Soon! Ohio's mask mandate, and most remaining health orders, are to be lifted for everyone on June 2. Until that date, unvaccinated people are required to wear masks in public indoor spaces. The governor has announced that fully vaccinated people may resume activities without wearing a mask and we do know that many of our folks here have received the vaccine already. But, businesses and organizations are able to set their own rules based on what is best for their location. So, in the spirit of unity, while inside the church through June 1, we will continue to require mask wearing for everyone. That means only two more masked Worship services and less than two weeks of masked classes and activities! From June 2 onward, whether vaccinated or unvaccinated, we ask that you use your own discretion about what you feel is best for you, your family, and your church family regarding masks and social distancing. Thank you for working with us and for all the patience, caring, and grace you have shown during these many difficult pandemic months. As we have said from the beginning, we will pray for each other, take care of each other, and work together through the changes! In case you want to read more, here is the Governor's Statement. | Bible Studies & Ministries | Masks and social distancing are required anytime you are in our building through June 1, as we try our best to care for each other. We are also glad to send out prayer requests and praise reports anytime throughout the week! | Encouragement Thank you to Marcia Kreps for sharing and Darla Smith for writing these weekly bits of encouragement. "I pray your week is going great. The weather has been beautiful here in Ohio. Flowers are blooming, bees are buzzing, pollen is flying. God’s beauty at His best. It all works together to make this a wonderful world. God certainly did not leave out any details with all things dependent and working with one another. Nature does what we are also called to do – work together for good!" "That leads me to the Word for this week “CALL.” We are all “called” by God for something good. Not at all like when we get “called” to renew our car warranty for the 100th time! Will we answer being “called” by God. My “call” is probably not the same as your “call” and your “call” may not be the same as my “call” but, together we are mighty! Let us not leave our “call” for someone else to answer. I pray the Holy Spirit work through each one of us to accept the “call.” Let our “call” be revealed to us in a special way. No one to be left out. Let us all step up to the plate and walk in our “calling” for Him. Others are depending on us. Walking in our “calling” can move mountains for someone, can mean sunshine to someone, can encourage someone, can mentor someone, can ease a burden for someone, can be a listening ear for someone, can be a hug for someone, can be a cup of coffee for someone, or could just be as simple as a smile. We do not know how important our “calling” could be to others and may never know. All I do know is we are all “called” – let’s answer the “call." We know that God makes all things work together for the good of those who love Him and are chosen to be a part of His plan. ~ Romans 8:28 (NLV) | Summer Devotionals The June/July/August edition of Our Daily Bread has arrived. We couldn't have done this without a good farmer friend lending us his plastic layer or without Rex giving up his time to drive the tractor. It is a blessing to have such good friends! Thanks, Rex!! Since our folks are never still for long, plenty more was accomplished this week. Raised beds were filled with more soil, beans were planted, weeds were whacked, rocks were moved, and cleaning up was done inside and out. As you can see from pictures above, we also took some time to enjoy the woods, take some walks, and play in the creek. There is always something to do on this property! | The Growing Season is Underway! Aren't those fields beautiful?!? Big thanks go to our crew and Mr. Rex for all their dedicated, tireless work this week! We cannot wait to see things growing out there.
