Autumn is festival season on the Sapphire Coast

Autumn is magic on Sapphire Coast and we celebrate it with festivals and events almost every weekend.

Combine a visit to one of our festivals with some down time in one of our national parks, a sample of village life or get on the trail of our award winning seafood and art.

Sapphire Coast, it's like no other place on earth.

Nelsons Lagoon Mimosa Rocks National Park

Nelson Lagoon, Mimosa Rocks National Park.

Day Tripper:

Mimosa's Coastal Quartet

There’s a magic coastal quartet to be discovered at Mimosa Rocks National Park.

Nelson’s Lagoon & Beach, Moon Bay and Wajurda Point are so close to each other you can visit them all in around an hour, but trust us when we say that a half day AT LEAST is needed so you can frolick in the warm lagoon and enjoy a nice long picnic.

The best part? It's only a couple of kilometres from Tathra's excellent restaurants and accommodation. Read more...

A Weekend Away:

Three big events, March 12 to 14

Long weekends in the ACT and Victoria coincide with three flagship events in one weekend.

Eat Merimbula & Sculpture on the Edge (SOTE) are all free entry, and set against the gorgeous backdrops of Merimbula Lake or Bermagui's Horseshoe Bay.

Spend Saturday in Bermagui exploring the seaside fair and it's neighbour SOTE, then on Sunday head south to Merimbula to feast on fine plated fare served in a market atmosphere on the Fishpen foreshore. Check out events

On the trail:

Award winning oysters

Take our Oyster Trail to try Australia's best Sydney Rock Oysters (read our blog on the 2016 Sydney Royal Fine Food aquaculture awards) and explore NSW's most pristine estuaries.

Visit farm gates, restaurants and even out on the water with the farmer. Our five key estuaries imbue subtle differences in taste, creating an oyster experience that lingers long on the palate. Explore the Oyster Trail
