Incentive Program

In order to keep the incentive, organizations needs to throw an open party once a semester. Right now, the following organizations are the ONLY ones who will keep the incentive program for the Spring:

Becca Matthews

Rebecca Matthews

Becky Matthews joined Zeta in the Fall of 2015 and has served campus in various leadership roles including a coordinator for Relay for Life, assisting with the Homecoming Party on Frat Row and Club President of Operation Smile.

Rebecca shared, " I appreciate all that my sisters do for the campus, for each other, and for everyone around them. Being apart of Greek life creates a family that you will always cherish."

Thanks for all your hard work Becky. We're so proud you're greek!

Fernando Hudson

Fernando, the current President of Alpha Gamma Nu has worked with his brothers to improve the brotherhood since he joined in the Fall of 2014.

When he is not working hard at his degree in Computer Science, Fernando shared, "I chose to become a member of the greek community so I could become a part of something bigger than myself and to find a group of guys who are like minded. Greek life is a community of different groups of people who together make our campus a fun and friendlier place. My favorite part of greek life is when all of the greeks come together and compete in events during greek week which gives a sense of fun community bonding."

Any organization who has a structured new member process to join their organization needs to be approved by SLIC before the process begins. New Member Process applications should be submitted on URConnect by August 1st for Fall and December 1st for Spring processes.

The application will ask for the New Member Educator's name, any assistant names, if the organization is in good standing and to notify if there are any changes to the New Member Process from the file that is on record in SLIC.

New Member Educators will be asked to take the New Member Educator Assessment and pass with above an 85%. You are not eligible to be a new member educator if you do not pass with above an 85%. All questions in the assessment are included in the New Member Educator Handbook on URConnect. A timeline of the process will need to be submitted no later than the end of the first week of classes, although encouraged to complete the timeline before in order to be eligible to take a class.

Once all the information has been submitted, the organization will be Eligible to take a new member class and pass out bids.

Cece Svenson Blood/ Bone Marrow Drive- Monday December 12th from 10am-5pm

For any of your members that have had Professor Svenson, you know that he is one of the most beloved faculty on campus. Professor Svenson and his wife lost their daughter Cece 7 years ago in a heroic battle against cancer, and this year we are hoping to continue to honor that battle with our City of Hope Blood Drive. It is the last Monday of classes, right before finals, you can donate, register for the bone marrow registry or even help with check in. This is always our biggest drive on campus! (and there will be an all- Greek hour for this one!)

Give-A-Day Thanksgiving Baskets Drive

It’s that time of year again and the Volunteer Center is having their 3rd Annual Thanksgiving Give-A-Day Baskets Drive! If you, a group of people, club, organization, team, or department would like to donate a basket to a family in need, please let the Volunteer Center know that you will be doing so by Friday, November 11th! Below are some other important dates to keep in mind:
Friday, Nov. 11th: Deadline to adopt a family
Wednesday, Nov.16th: Deadline to drop off all donation items from the list at the VC
Saturday, Nov. 19th: Volunteer to help put baskets together!
Nov. 19th-22nd: Basket deliveries!

3rd Annual Basketball Turkey Shootout, November 19th

The Redlands Community Center is hosting the 3rd annual Basketball Turkey Shootout! Join in on this fun event by volunteering to help with set up, or if you have basketball experience you can volunteer to help with the free-throw competition. The event will take place from 12pm-3pm, but set up volunteers are needed at 11am. Contact the Volunteer Center if you are interested!

City Year Opportunity

Join City Year in their mission to bridge the gap between the support the students in these kinds of communities actually need and what their schools are designed to provide! City Year is looking to hire for next Summer & Fall. Duties will include tutoring and teaching students, running after school clubs and projects to give students positive activities to participate in, leading celebrations and projects to improve the school and community as a whole, and much more! Coat Drive 2016!

The annual coat drive helps the greater Redlands community stay warm during the winter months and is beginning in November! Please donate your jackets, boots, hats, gloves, scarves, blankets, and sleeping bags. The main donation box and coat rack will be located at the Volunteer Center on the east side on the bottom floor of the Armacost Library.
