Worship Online

Fifth Sunday in Lent

Worship Online at the LELC YouTube Channel. Click here.

Worship will be posted by Sunday morning
You will find worship at: LELC.org, on our Facebook page, and on YouTube.

For the health and safety of our community of faith, the church council has made the decision to offer online worship temporarily instead of gathering physically on Sunday mornings in the church building. At this time, worship will be offered online March 29 and April 5. The council will continue to monitor the situation and re-evaluate as is prudent.

Lazarus Henry Ossawa Tanner Resurrection of Lazarus

The Gospel for this Sunday:

John 11:1-45

Raised to New Life

In this week's gospel Jesus reveals his power over death by raising Lazarus from the dead. The prophet Ezekiel prophesies God breathing new life into dry bones. To those in exile or living in the shadows of death, these stories proclaim God’s promise of resurrection. In baptism we die with Christ that we might also be raised with him to new life. At the Easter Vigil we will welcome the newly baptized as we remember God’s unfailing promise in our baptism.
