Hello Friends.

It's been a long time since I wrote. I know. I apologize. But here I am, and I have refurbished my online shop just in time for the holidays.

Last year I moved to a smaller home, and the biggest lesson I learned is how wonderful it is to simplify. I got rid of more than half of my belongings, and I've never felt better.

This year, in the spirit of simplicity, I have chosen only five items to offer you in my online shop. The themes this year are Vintage Feminism and Vintage botanicals. Is there a connection? I'm not sure. But I love them all, and I hope you will too.

Several of the items are in limited quantities, so if you like something, I suggest you jump on it. And if you think a friend might be interested I'm always grateful if you pass along this email or a link to my shop.

These beautiful wooden keepsake boxes are crafted right here in Vermont, made to my specs out of Vermont pine. The sliding lid is where I put my own design or images from my ephemera collections, digitally reproduced on paper and hand applied to the wood.

Gorgeous details from early 20th Century vegetable seed packs from the Liza Cowan Ephemera Collections. Made by hand, in small batches, for Small Equals by our friends at Flashbags in Burlington, Vermont. Each mat features a different design, same on both sides.

Mint-condition, 1977 button by Liza Cowan. The double headed axe, or Laybris, signifies ancient Amazonian matriarchy. The "0" at the top turns it into a women's symbol. Inside the "0" is a Star of David, symbol of Judaism. Inside the star is the letter/number "chai" or 18, a powerful Jewish good luck emblem.

The Future Is Female. I made this button in 1975 for Labyris Books, the first Feminist Bookstore in New York City.The button, the t-shirt with the same slogan, and the amazing history and follow up, were recently featured in a story in The New York Times Styles section. HERE
