Spring Dreams

For many people there is no need to wonder what time of year it is. Their runny noises, hacking coughs, and watery eyes are clear indicators that spring is in the air. Even with the discomfort of so many with allergies, it truly is a beautiful time of year. The flowers pop with color and the trees put on their cover of green. From the drab of winter comes signs of life and hope.

The same might be said of us. The weather is warmer, the desire to enjoy the outdoors increased, and the hope for fun and excitement increased. It is also an important season in our faith. We have just celebrated the resurrection of our Lord and, like the disciples of old, have something to celebrate and live for. Christ is risen and with it comes hope and opportunity.

I think there is no better time of year to dream than this. Scripture has time and time again shown God's revelation through the dreams of his followers. Has God given your a dream...a desire...and heart...for some type of service? Has he given you a vision of ministry that you have yet to do? Is he speaking into your heart with purpose?

There is no better time to dream with God than now. You are never too old, never too settled, never too untrained to be of valuable service to our Lord. So...as we are in the middle of this time of bloom, beauty and hope...I encourage you..allow yourself to dream and ask God to fill those dreams with HIS WILL for your life.

Blessings,
Pastor Keith

MISSIONS MINISTRY REPORT

By: Nancy Long

The April 2nd meeting of the Missions Ministry was opened as usual with prayer requests and prayer. UNFINISHED Business: Re: Felipe Vogel (Alan and Lucilia’s son)—a motion (Allen), second (Paul), and approval called for a one-time gift of $400 to be given as he seeks support for full-time missionary work with The Rafiki Foundation in Africa; the committee discussed its budget and budget layout, which will be maintained by the church financial secretary; new visitation dates for Lisa and Bruce Rider (parents of Jon Rider-missionary to India) will be sent in the hope that they will be able to present a missions moment to St. Paul’s in discussion of their son’s ministry.
NEW Business: The Samaritan’s Purse movie titled FACING DARKNESS—will be aired again on April 10 in many theaters—A story about Faith and Ebola; Amol Parage, missionary to India and friend of Donna Rudolph briefly visited recently—he is requesting prayers for India and the fight against tribal worship of animism (belief in evil spirits). He and his wife, Omana, serve in the villages and also are instrumental in maintaining the school for children of missionaries while the parents are serving in the mission field; a tentative date for the Fall Missions Sunday has been set for September 24 (first choice) and September 17 (as the alternate) via motion by Allen, second by Donna, and approval. After pastor approval, a speaker will be considered—at present time, the name of Bill Harding (SIM-Serving in Mission), has been mentioned; the world map will be brought up to date.
There will be no May meeting due to church activities in May—June 4th has been set for the next meeting. The session was closed with prayer.

FROM OUR MISSIONARIES.

Michelle Eastty - KCAM - Alaska Joy Media Ministries

Some recent developments in our ministry at KCAM - we thank God for His Grace and provisions. New foundation for studio bldg with 3 volunteers working. Plans are next to renovate bldg into 3 bedroom house with 2 apts for short term volunteers. Also that week an Engineer came to prepare for Satellite to be moved. Please pray that all will work smoothly. I had 2 weeks vacation and spent some quality time with my family. Thank you for your prayers for us here where spring has arrived.

Alan & Lucilia, Laura Vogel - Brazil - Wycliffe Bible Translators

We spent 4 weeks in the Jarawara Village and was glad to have my family with me. All were happy to see us and I took lots of work with me. I thank God for Bibiri, who is so dedicated to working with me. We revised the entire books of Rev., Philemon, Galatians, Ephesians, Colossians and 1 & 2 Peter. I found Bibiri's favorite is songs and he wants to translate the Psalms, and also Genesis. So we will work on them. Continue to pray we will make rapid progress on checking the rest of the N.T.

Jonathan & Garima Rider - India - Salisbury Christian Fellowship

These last several weeks have been full of excitement and hope for us. We have 2 training programs going, teams who want to grow in their skills in reaching Hindu people. We continue to travel, encourage and teach nationals and foreign staff workers. We have faith God will use many teams to begin new work and in
Church planting. In S. Asia we saw about 4000 new believers. We were blown away! God is so good! A new Hindi Bible app has been made and we are hoping to get it in hands of those who don't know Jesus. Thanks for your continued prayer and support. Pray for safety and finances.
