We are also glad to send out prayer requests and praise reports anytime throughout the week! | Encouragement Thank you to Marcia Kreps for sharing and Darla Smith for writing these weekly bits of encouragement. "I am thankful and blessed to be writing you again. God is so good, and His mercies are new each morning. While I was sitting out in my backyard yesterday, a doe and her fawn came through our back fence to see what goodies they could nibble. Dave and I sat as still as we could, and I managed to snap a few pictures before the doe caught on that we were watching her. Quickly, she took her fawn back through the woods to a safer place. She would do anything to get her fawn through any danger that may arise." "That brings me to my Word for the week, “THROUGH.” There have been and still are several of my dear friends and family that have gone “through” or are going “through” some very difficult things. My heart hurts for them and that is our human nature. Some have gone “through” the pain of losing someone dear to them. Some have and are still going “through” a serious illness. Some are going “through” the pain of watching their children hurting. Some are going “through” job changes. Some are going “through” depression. But the key word here is “through.” God will always be right there with us in our “through” time. Lean on the Holy Spirit to give you the strength you need to pass “through” the waters without going under and “through” the fire without being consumed. We cannot stay in our “through” path. The very next prayer, step, thought, cry, laugh could be just the push we need to victory! Don’t give up – don’t stay in your “through” – press on – push “through.” We will press on and push “through” right beside you. Reach out to your friends and family for that extra push “through” you are needing. We will be there for whatever you need. Please let us. We are to bear one another’s burdens just as Jesus did. Be ready for the push “through” call you may get from a precious one in need. Have a wonderful rest of your week – see you on the other side – where Victory awaits!" But now, thus says the Lord, who created you, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you. For I am the Lord your God, The Holy One of Israel, your Savior;" ~ Isaiah 43:1-3 (NKJV) | Fall Devotionals Available Our Daily Bread for September/October/November in the Great Room.
