Will You Be Mine?

February is a month filled with sweet love, gently meandering through life and embracing all those dearest to us. And as an extension of this love, the Guild sends its own touch of sweetness to all the women of parish. You are cherished in our hearts!

It's another busy month for the Guild with a variety of activities for everyone! Please join us for Cocktails and Conversation on Tuesday, February 7th, for an evening filled with a splash of Hollywood and All Things Oscars! Lee Shoquist, film enthusiast and member of the Chicago Film Critics Association will share his preview of the 95th Oscar nominations and all the inside scoop that goes with the big night. Get ready and grab a friend for an evening not to be missed. Registration is required.

Shifting gears into the season of Lent, on February 23rd, the Guild will present an evening of reflection entitled “Out of the Tomb: A Lenten Journey in Search of Hope and Healing.” A light dinner will be served in the Parish Center followed by discussion with Father Thomas Neitzke, S.J., Ed.D., dean and executive director at Arrupe College of Loyola University Chicago. Registration is required.

Finally, please save the date for the following events ...

A Meditative Retreat, January 28, 2023

The Women's Guild gathered over 40 women in the Parish Center last Saturday for a half day retreat to explore one's spiritual gifts. What a wonderful way to start the new year and prepare for the coming of Lent. A big thank you to all the ladies who planned this event and to Joan Binder who guided the attendees and is a member of St John of the Cross Parish & World Community for Christian Meditation.
