By completing the challenges, they earned points and today those points translate to some fun rewards. We'll also be doing some planning for summer. We'll keep you posted! | Prayer For whom are you praying today? How can we pray for you? Whenever you have a prayer request, please don't hesitate to send it in! We are here to pray with and for you. We are also glad to send out prayer requests and praise reports anytime throughout the week! Thank you! | “Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always.” ~ 1 Chronicles 16:11 ~~~ | Encouragement This week's message of encouragement again comes from Marcia Kreps' North Canton friend, Darla. As we have just entered summer, full of the enticing aromas of barbecues and picnics, her words conjure up some vivid pictures for us to imagine. "The word God gave me this week is hunger. Hunger is a funny thing. When you smell something either cooking or grilling or baking - your hunger senses take over. Even if you aren't hungry. As soon as you smell that homemade bread in the oven - your mouth starts to water and you can't wait to get it out of the oven to eat it warm with butter." "I want to have that kind of hunger for God. I want to let the Holy Spirit draw me closer. I long for a craving to hunger and thirst after Him - to put Him first in all things. The more we learn about God's love, the more we want to know - we can't get enough. Our hunger for Him becomes our passion, when nothing in the world can fascinate us as much as being closer to Him. Question for us...... Are we hungry? If we are, God promises us that WE SHALL BE FILLED!" ~ Darla Smith Thank you to Marcia and Darla for taking time to share these powerful words with us all. As we ponder them, may we hunger for God and turn to His Word for spiritual nourishment. “You’re blessed when you’ve worked up a good appetite for God. He’s food and drink in the best meal you’ll ever eat."
