Spreading Huntington's Disease Awareness

Let's Talk About Huntington's | #LetsTalkAboutHD

Lauren Byrne is the JHD social media editor and she is doing a great job running our Facebook and Twitter accounts. Lauren is a research associate in the Huntington's Disease Research Group, UCL Institute of Neurology, in London, UK, and she is an advocate for getting out there and spreading Huntington's disease awareness among various audiences.

And that is what Lauren did recently when she appeared as a guest on "Futureproof" – a podcast by Jonathan McCrae on the Irish radio station Newstalk. A recent edition of the station's flagship science program focused on HD and the search for new and better ways to tackle the symptoms and causes despite the challenges. Lauren was on hand to give a personal interview on the topic and the full discussion can be heard via the Newstalk website (see below). This is just one of the projects that Lauren has been involved with to promote HD awareness and there are other campaigns happening in the coming months. Follow JHD on Twitter and use hashtags, such as #HDawareness and #LetsTalkAboutHD, to be kept informed.
