My daddy put me down. His eyebrows looked confused at me.
"Can we talk about this at dinner?" he asked.
"No," I said. "We have to talk right now. 'Cause I've already waited all I can. And I'm getting tension in me."

Emmy and I were reading this book last week, and I know just how Junie B. was feeling! Do you sometimes have those days when stressful things just keep happening and you can feel the tension building up? I tend to get tension headaches on those days.

A relaxing visit to the zoo: The girls and I took a walk around Swan Lake at Brookfield Zoo.There are "poetry stops" on this path, and we read the short poems together. It was very peaceful and quiet, unlike the rest of this busy Chicago area zoo!
