Team Info and Updates

We are getting excited about seeing you and your team in just two weeks! Here are a few quick updates and resources for you.

Have a question about the event? Check out our 2019 Guidebook for directions, relay information, packing lists and more!

Starting Times
Please visit our team resources page to see starting times sorted by team number and team name. Your team should plan to be at Highland Brewing Company 20-30 minutes prior to your start time to check in at the Safety Zone. Your team will need to show your required safety gear to the Safety Zone volunteers.

Course Change
Due to recent flooding, we will be altering Leg #5 slightly to stay off the Oklawaha Greenway. Click here to see the updated route. Please visit our course info page for details and maps for every leg. As a reminder, this is an open roads course!

As always, please reach out to us if you have any questions. We are looking forward to seeing you all very soon!

Chief Experience Officer

Safety Video & Required Gear

All team members must watch our 2019 Safety Video prior to the relay.

Required Visibility Gear - All teams must have at least two reflective vests,
two headlamps, and two blinking LED taillights. These items will have to be
shown to the safety volunteers at the starting line check-in for a team to start
the relay. Shirts with reflective gear will not qualify as a reflective vest. Here
are links to acceptable items:
Safety Vest | Headlamp | Blinking LED Light
*These links are just recommended items. You do not have to have these specific items. Safety vests that are reflective and have a rear blinking light will meet both the vest and rear LED requirement.

Runner Tracking & Text Updates

Racejoy - Track your team members as they run! Get alerts when they are close and send them cheer messages. Runners will have to carry a smartphone and follow the Racejoy instructions. Click here to download.

Get important pre-race, race day, and post-race text . Each team should have at least two team members sign up for this service. Just text Follow @V2V2019 to 40404. We will only use this account during race weekend.

Highland Brewery Tours

Enjoy a complimentary 30-minute walking tour of Highland during our Welcome Reception on April 12th. The tour includes Highland's history as pioneers in craft beer in North Carolina and the opportunity to learn about their brewing and packaging process that results in consistently excellent beer.
