It’s been awhile since we’ve seen a one-hand backhand slice and top spin coupled to terrific wheels, accessorized with a bigger than average serve and nasty outside/inside out forehand.

But that’s what German Tatjana Maria, seeded #6, brought to winning the Dow Corning Tennis Classic, stopping American Louisa Chirico cold, 6-2, 6-1 for the singles championship.

Hilton Head Island, SC—Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) will present its annual awards at the 2015 PTR International Symposium February 19-22.

That’s where GMTC Tennis Director Sharon Cleland will receive the PTR Tester of the Year recognition. The Professional Tennis Registry is an international organization of 15,000 pros representing more than 125 countries. The majority of GMTC pros are PTR certified.
