Mr. Messer's Message

We are approaching the final days of the 2016-2017 school year and the next 5 weeks will fly by. I hope everyone enjoyed their spring break, is refreshed, and ready to finish strong. This has been a busy week at CHCA with standardized testing, field trips, 8th grade trip, senior picnic, Jr./Sr. Mother-Daughter Tea, and the Jr./Sr. Father-Son BBQ. I really enjoyed spending time with our junior and senior boys and their fathers yesterday. I was privileged to have my father-in-law speak and we had a great time playing softball, kickball, and football. Our families are a big part of Cottage Hill Christian Academy and this week was a perfect example of what makes CHCA special.
I want to thank everyone who has participated in the Legacy Fund giving. The combined efforts of our parents, grandparents, staff, and friends has allowed us to make needed curriculum adjustments, facilities improvements, and technology advancements that are needed to provide our students with the best education possible. The Legacy Fund drive is still active and we are hoping to raise an additional $5,000 before May 31, 2017. If you have not contributed, please pray about the possibility of joining in our Vision to become THE choice for a Christ-Centered education in Mobile. To give, please click on the Legacy Fund logo below.
Our seniors are approaching the end of their time at CHCA. The Class of 2017 has achieved great things academically, athletically, and as spiritual leaders. They will be great ambassadors for CHCA. This is an awesome group of young people and we are excited to see where God will lead them in the next few years. I encourage our seniors and their parents to enjoy these last few days of high school and all the exciting events that are part of the senior experience.

Mr. Messer

New Hours for High School in 2017-2018

In 2017-2018 the High School school day will begin at 8:00 a.m. and dismiss at 3:05 p.m. This will allow our teachers to provide tutoring on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings from 7:30 a.m. until 7:55 a.m. each day. So many of our students are involved in extra-curricular activities after school and cannot attend tutoring each day. This time can also be utilized for make up test after absences. We are excited about the new schedule and will provide more information about the schedule changes in the coming weeks.
