November 2017 Update

Happy Fall! Less than five months left until our inaugural event and we couldn't be more excited! Here are your monthly updates:

Our 2018 Guidebook is now available for everyone to download and view. This resource has all the information you will need to plan and prepare for the relay. The Guidebook is a living document and will change some in the next few months as more details are added. We recommend not printing the document until race weekend when the final version is released.

Race Course news! Announcing Leg #12 - The Commons
At 8.8 miles, the final leg of the race is our second longest, but has a net downhill elevation change. Leaving the Swamp Rabbit Brewery, runners will head down the Swamp Rabbit Trail all the way to the finish line celebration! Meet up with your team and run the last quarter mile together!

Local Brew

Swamp Rabbit Brewery & Taproom
Our last transition stop is at the Swamp Rabbit Brewery in downtown Travelers Rest. Head Brewer and Owner Ben Pierson has been a head brewer all over the world and it shows in the multiple tasty brews that SRB shares.

Favorite Brew:
Raspberry White Ale - This seasonal brew is made with over 200 pounds of Raspberries and is super refreshing, especially after a long workout! Hopefully it will be available next April!

Good Eats

Roman's Deli & Catering
Located in downtown Asheville, Roman's was one of the first locally sourced restaurants in Asheville and features a variety of local meats and produce.

Our favorites:
Turkey Cranberry Pesto Panini paired with their White Chicken Chili
Any Burger, but especially the Pimento Burger that has homemade smoky Pimento Cheese.

Pro Tip:
It's very likely that Roman himself is preparing your meal and will bring it out to you. Say hello!

Ville to Ville Foundation

We are proud that our inaugural event will raise an estimated $15,000 to support our 2018 Charities of Choice. Our two charities for 2018 are Feed & Seed SC in Greenville and Food Connection in Asheville. Both address the food crisis in our communities. Please consider a personal donation to these wonderful organizations.

Finish Line Recovery Area Sponsor

Frigid CryoTherapy
Once you are done with the race, please check out the Frigid CryoTherapy mobile trailer that specializes in pain management and athletic recovery. This type of treatment has gained notoriety as an effective recovery modality for muscle and joint injuries by significantly alleviating inflammation after strenuous exercise and training by inducing a natural anti-inflammatory effect.
