| Fostering Community & The Latest Wine & Spirits News | Hi Wine Lover, The Shall We Wine team is excited to share our monthly newsletter. Our goal is to introduce you to our favorite wines, winemakers, varietals, wine regions and places to buy and drink wine. Cheers, The Shall We Wine Team | Shall We Wine welcomes those new to our tribe of wine lovers, welcoming you with [virtual] open arms. With the recent support and additions to our community, we’d like you to know we have quite the dedicated one! We have fun and take pleasure in a variety of unique, specially-crafted experiences throughout the year. From hosting exciting tastings to putting the spotlight on trailblazers who challenge the narrative of what a beverage brand, professional, or enthusiast “should” be… we are here. This is a community of love. SWW is not SWW without community. At SWW we value a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace where all team members, partners, and clients, whatever their gender, race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, age, sexual orientation or gender identity, education or disability, feels valued and respected. We are committed to a culture of equity and inclusion. We respect and value diverse life experiences and perspectives and work to ensure that all voices are valued and heard in a safe space. We’re committed to modeling diversity and inclusion for the industry and to maintaining an inclusive environment with equitable treatment for all. SWW not only embraces these values, but we strive to be a community that’s not hung up and only limited to conventional wine & spirits rules and expectations. With the influx of community support, let’s keep this momentum going long after it’s a trending story. Let’s protect each other. Have the hard conversations, elevate and celebrate our successes, uplift your neighbor, share with your friends and family, and know we’re better together. | REGISTER | A.L.L.I.E.S. Partnership: Episode 1 with Regine T. Rousseau - Mon, Jul 6, 2020 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM CDT In the first episode of A.L.L.I.E.S., an initiative started by Wonder Women of Wine to amplify the voices of Black women wine professionals, we are speaking with Regine T. Rousseau, founder and CEO of Shall We Wine, a Chicago-based wine, spirits, and beer tasting company. Regine will be discussing her background in the wine industry, her experience launching a successful business, the intersectionality of being a Black woman and an entrepreneur, and the often unpleasant dynamics of trade tastings for Black wine professionals. 50% of proceeds raised from this webinar will go directly to Regine and WWOW will match the other 50% to donate to Black Lives Matter. | Dream Big Darling is a wonderful organization helping to foster the success of women in the wine & spirits industry through mentorship and education. As a Shall We Wine community, we too believe in the power of mentorship and education. In a special IG Live installation of their "Ready. Set. GROW" sessions, our Founder Regine T. Rousseau shared her insights, wisdom, tips and tricks for virtual communication! WATCH THE EPISODE | Come hang out with us! The Smokers Set: Cigars, Cocktails and Conversation 6/26/20 - 6pm CST Please join Regine as she welcomes Izola Woods, Drew Estate, and Israel Greene as guests for a specially curated cigars, cocktails, and conversation event! Following the cigar and cocktail tasting, stay for the 'After Party'. The 'After Party' is a safe space where we discuss current events, ask questions and surrender to courageous conversations. We have been truly inspired by the community we are building. | Stay tuned for what's next from Cocktail Hour Series! [ What's the Cocktail Hour Series? CLICK HERE ] With these virtual hours, we aim to infuse that same joy and wonder you would during our in-person tastings... but while you're in the comforts of your home! Not only is this an awesome way to learn something new, but a way to stay connected and have fun doing it, too. And unlike many large scale tastings, this invite gives you exclusive access to an intimate mini-party with amazing people in the food and beverage world! | If you were unable to join us for any of our past events, please consider supporting any of these fabulous brands and professionals by buying their services or their products, subscribing to their Podcasts and following their social media. This community is one big family and we support one another! These were the most recent guests Shall We Wine hosted and who we hosted them with: | Maybe you want to host a cocktail hour for a small group of friends. Or maybe you want to throw a cocktail hour to celebrate a birthday or special milestone. Or maybe you're tired of hosting the same kind of virtual events for your team and are looking for something to make them different and engage them. Whatever the case is, you've come to the right place. Just as Shall We Wine does in-person experiences, we also plan experiences for corporate virtual events. We work with our corporate clients to create wine and spirit-focused experiences! | For yourself or as a gift... it's one way you can support us! | As both a sommelier and poet, I see wine elevated by words and vice versa. On the surface, wine and poetry can seem unrelated. Searching for Cloves & Lilies: The Wine Edition is one way of showing the congruence of the two. Seemingly different mediums can be more intertwined than you think. Challenge yourself to see likeness, positivity and common ground. A collection of original poems from Regine T. Rousseau, the book Searching for Cloves and Lilies: The Wine Edition explores pairing wine with poetry. The idea of pairing both wine and poetry was initially met with confused looks. But a national book tour and some new friends later, the Shall We Wine tribe has expanded into a think-outside-the-box wine pairing bunch! How amazing. We love wine, pass it on! | In an effort to maintain social distancing measures, Shall We Wine will continue to devote our time to connecting with each and every one of our friends and supporters like you virtually. We're constantly sharing fun content to help brighten up your weeks! We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work through these times together. Thank you for your continued support in making Shall We Wine your go-to wine & lifestyle resource! | Learn, Drink, Repeat! The Shall We Wine Team | | |
