I know, I know! It’s January and many of us have vowed to shield our eyes (and tastebuds!) away from sugar and chocolate and everything wonderful and glorious, until the calendar rolls over to February. At least, I hear that’s what a lot of folks are doing this month. Ha! Good for you if you are on the sugar-free bandwagon. For the rest of you, dear readers I’ve brought along a fabulous, silky, perfectly pipe-able, spreadable, delectable Chocolate Buttercream Frosting of wonder. I’ve been wanting to post a great chocolate frosting recipe for some time now, and this one is really wonderful. The flavor is rich, the texture is creamy and perfect. It will generously frost 24+ cupcakes, and should be enough to frost a round 2 layer cake. If you are looking to frost a 9×13 cake, this recipe will give you a bit more than enough.
