We have been in a very deep review / reset process with 6 retrograde planets from late August through September, plus Mercury retro from 9/9 - 10/2. It was needed so that we can begin to move further forward into the post pandemic world with an up-leveled sense of grace, gratitude and clarity. Oh so many feelings, so many memories, dreams and insights! Intentions have been set and reset, actions have been adjusted and re - adjusted. Student - Hi Sensei, good to see you and thanks for setting aside the time for me today. I wanted to talk to you because I've been very depressed and upset lately.
Sensei - Ok sorry to hear this, what's bothering you?
Student - It started during the pandemic lockdown. Since I've been practicing Reiki, I've become very sensitive and empathic and at random times during the day I would start crying. I realized that I was feeling our collective trauma. To be aware of the immense suffering in the world.....it's way too much sometimes.
Sensei - Yes I understand. I feel it too. It comes with the territory. But like I always say......
Student - .....you gotta feel it to heal it!! Ha! I knew you were gonna say that! The thing is, my life is actually going really well...... my job, relationships, health, my daily meditation & Reiki.......but but there's this heaviness in my heart. I'm acutely aware of all the negativity in the world and I feel totally inadequate to do anything about it. It's depressing!
Sensei - Well I can tell you that you're one of my most talented students and a big part of your talent is your ability to feel deeply. You wouldn't be a very good healer if you had a cold heart. What you're going through is what I call the "Reiki Awakening Process". At first, it's like you're on a pink cloud. You got all the attunements and teachings, you're giving yourself Reiki while you meditate every day, treating other people, and you're just loving it. You feel lighter, happier, healthier.......but then, what happens is that because you are practicing diligently, you begin to shed your deeper layers of conditioning and your shadows start to come up.
Student - What do you mean "my shadows"? I don't think you understand! I'm feeling everybody else's shadows, not my own!!
Sensei - Woah! Why so angry? You.....
Student - Why so angry?! I'll tell ya why so angry!! I'm really disgusted with the millions of idiots running around this planet killing each other and every other living thing, polluting the air, water and land, strip mining, stuffing their faces with junk food, smoking crack, raping women.......the INSANITY!! (breaks down crying). What the fuck am I doing here?? What horrible sin have I committed that I would be condemned to a life on this hell hole of a planet!! I just wanna go home! I don't belong here!! I'm from the higher dimensions, the heavenly planets where people are kind to each other!
Sensei - Ok, ok, you needed to vent......but......
Student - But WHAT!?! F - you Sensei!! (student stomps out of room and slams door) 3 Days Later
Sensei - Well, well, look who's here! I thought you had gone back home to the heavenly planets!
Student - Haha! Jeez, what can I say......I feel so embarrassed......I don't know what came over me........I'm so sorry! I can't believe I attacked you!
Sensei - Ok let's replay what happened. You came to me feeling depressed and sad about the state of the world. You just wanted some support. But when I pointed out that your shadows were coming up, it pushed your buttons and you lost your temper. You had old rage come up......
Student - What do you mean old?! It felt pretty fresh to me! And the crazy thing is, it actually felt great to express it! I feel lighter, and the depression and sadness are gone!
Sensei - Yes, that anger was eating away at you. It had become so heavy that you had become apathetic, sad and depressed....... in spite of the fact that on the surface, your life seemed to be going really well. You needed to vent the anger to break out of the heaviness. Nothing like anger to blow away apathy!! And you subconsciously knew that it was safe to take it out on me, because I understand you and I knew that it was one of your shadows coming up. You knew I wouldn't take it personally.! After a candidate is chosen, they assist in teaching all 4 levels of training (Reiki Levels 1, 2, 3, and Master Teacher). They also have weekly coaching sessions which may be over the phone or in person, and homework assignments. Another aspect of the program is providing Reiki in a volunteer capacity at the free clinics I supervise. The program is tailored to the needs of the individual candidate. If there are issues blocking the candidate's general fulfillment in life and success as a Reiki healer and teacher, these will be addressed through counseling and healing sessions. I am accepting applications for an apprentice who would start working with me as soon as they are ready. Karuna Reiki® is taught by private appt. online or at your residence only. Accelerated Reiki 1 & 2 for professional healers, yoga practitioners & meditators - If you are an L.Ac., LMT, Craniosacral Therapist or other holistic health professional, a yoga teacher or seasoned yoga practitioner, meditator and / or chi gong practitioner, you may qualify for my accelerated Reiki 1 & 2 training. Do you know the 7 chakras and basic anatomy of the human body? Do you know what chi is? If your answer is yes to most of the above then you're probably ready to take Reiki 1 & 2 in 7.5 hrs.
