We will go over dishwasher operation, give pointers on using the stove and oven, show you where things are located, and (try) to answer any questions you may have. The more folks who know how to operate this kitchen equipment, the easier meals and events will be in the future! We sure do enjoy our eating adventures with Mike. This week we have been busy making lots of jam, as we prep for our two big Christmas shows. Jungle Jam and Juicy Jam make great gifts! Our crew spent time reorganizing in the unfinished area, making sure to pull the Christmas items to an easily accessible spot for next week's decking of the halls. We are very much looking forward to Wednesday's morning of decorating! Getting a bit of a jump on next week, we set up the Angel Tree so it is ready when the Heroes & Halos folks bring our angel tree tags and we redid the lights in the Café. It is beginning to look a lot like Christmas...extra early this year! In the spirit of this season of yummy foods, we also spent time using our baking skills. We made crowd favorite chocolate chip cookies and tried a new recipe for cinnamon bread. Yum! Next week is a short one. We will only be here Monday through Wednesday and then we'll be off for Thanksgiving break. Before we know it, Christmas will be here! After Thanksgiving, watch for info about CSA 2023. One of this year's participants requested that we get our subscription information out before the holidays because she thinks a Community Supported Agriculture Subscription would make a great gift! The Squeaky Wheel Theater Company presents A Christmas Story, The Musical! This musical, which received rave reviews on its Broadway run, is based on the movie classic that runs round-the-clock on television every Christmas. Set in the 1940s in the fictional town of Hohman, Indiana, the musical follows 9-year-old Ralphie Parker and his quest for an Official Red Ryder carbine-action 200-shot Range Model air rifle.
