Hello , let's do a little something to keep our santiy!

Whew, it's the middle of December. Almost the end of the year. I always have two things I want to do in December, slow down and enjoy it, and finish all my goals for the year.

Those 2 things really don't mesh do they? This year I found a way to make it happen.

I'm doing 12 days of gratitude at my Facebook and Instagram pages. For a few minutes at the end of each day I am writing about one thing I'm grateful for. This has given me a new inner peace. And I'm really enjoying hearing your thoughts about the topic for the day.

My new office assistant, The Gemini Due Cut Machine!

Even after all these years of quilting, I can STILL get very excited about a new tool that will me and you. I've not really used a die cutting machine, mostly because so many seem so complicated and the dies are so bulky to store.

When my friends at Crafter's Companion asked me to try their machine it made total sense to me. It's electric, the dies are revolutionary and take up VERY little room and the machine is compact. All of this means easier cutting.

2019 Sew Alongs!

You know, we are really going to have so much fun with the first 2 sew alongs of 2019. When I came up with 'Out of the World' I totally sold on the fabric. Now that I've been jotting down notes and thinking about it, I'm even more excited! It's not a stuff science project. I'm going for the fun and sometimes Kitchy aspect of our space memories.. On the Home Front!

Gosh, for some reason my Birthday this year really had me being reflective. Normally I just delcare it's my birthday and celebrate the whole month of Nov, but this year we worked into Nov, then left for 2 weeks for an impromtu vacation, which was proceeded by a crazy amount of work so I could leave for 2 weeks.

I managed to grab my hexie project. I finally decided on one flower on gray. I'm totally in love with these little hexies and my goal is to get them organized so that I can have them to pick up at home in the evening or when I travel! I miss hand work.
