The LEO AWARDS have two types of entries: Program and Craft categories. Here's the short answer for eligibility on these:

PROGRAM ELIGIBILITY:
Any Program is eligible which demonstrates that the directing mind and control of the creative and financial aspects of the Program rest with British Columbia based individuals, defined as someone who is a Canadian citizen or has permanent residence status, has maintained a residence in British Columbia for the 12 months preceding commencement of principal photography of the Program entered for adjudication and filed their 2020 tax return in British Columbia. NOTE: The Program DOES NOT have to be aired in order to be eligible, just COMPLETED. In fact, if you wait until it's aired, it may no longer be eligible.

CRAFT ELIGIBILITY:
Craft entries only require that you, the entrant, is eligible, and does not require the Program to be eligible (eg. it's a foreign production). Basically, if you're a BC Resident, you are eligible in most cases. And you can enter independently of the Program as long as you obtain the necessary approval.

My program hasn't been aired yet. Can I enter?

Probably, as long as the program is eligible according to our eligibility criteria. Your program does not need to have been aired or exhibited, just completed according to the the Leo Awards' Rules and Regulations.

I have a Craft entry only. Can I enter?

Probably, as long as you are eligible as an entrant according to our eligibility criteria. Craft entries do not require the Program to be eligible (eg. it's a foreign production) as long as you are. And you can enter independently of the Program as long as you obtain the necessary approval. Also, if you are entering independently of the Program, and that same program has been entered, you will need to conform your entry so it's in the same category as entered by the Program.
