Mr. Messer's Message

FEBRUARY 24

February 24 is the final day to contribute to the Legacy Fund as part of our parent challenge. The Legacy Fund will remain open until May 31. We are challenging all our parents to make a contribution of any size and in return for 70% participation from our parents, all CHCA students will receive an extra day off from school on April 17th. This is the Monday following our regularly scheduled Spring Break holiday week. In addition, if 80% of parents in any particular grade contribute, we will host an ice cream party for that grade.
The Legacy Fund has provided funds which have helped with the replacing of flooring in five classrooms on the West Campus, completing the process of placing LCD projectors in each classroom, and updating of the landscaping on both campuses. We are hoping to raise additional funds which will help complete several projects on our campuses. Among these projects are upgrades to the technology infrastructure on the Church Campus, tables for science labs, and improvements to the playground on the Church Campus.
The Legacy Fund was created to provide the additional resources necessary to provide a Christ-Centered, Academically Challenging education for our families. Independent schools rely on philanthropy as tuition alone cannot provide the experiences we desire for our students. The Legacy Fund not only helps us continue our tradition of small classes, outstanding extra-curricular activities, and strong spiritual development, but also helps us make improvements to our facilities. EVERY GIFT MATTERS! We have received gifts ranging from $5.00 to $5,000 this year and together these gifts allow Cottage Hill Christian Academy to further our mission of helping each student reach their God-given potential. Our goal is 100% participation from all stakeholders including current parents, grandparents, faculty, staff, and alumni. By giving to the LEGACY FUND you can be a part of something special here at CHCA!

The purpose of the CHCA Athletic Hall of Fame is to recognize and honor former Warrior athletes, coaches, administrators and supporters who excelled in their respective sports or coaching/support roles and who helped to bring honor, recognition, distinction and excellence to Cottage Hill Christian Academy by their conduct both on and off the field and or court of competition. This recognition will help maintain the spirit, pride and sense of community as well as serving as a historical account of the great athletic traditions of CHCA. We are grateful to The First Bank, who will be partnering with us as our sponsor for this event.
