September News News - New Gradient and Shades Packs!

June 7 12 gradient in lake

Chris and I had a really special vacation earlier this summer to visit Grand Tetons and Yellowstone in Wyoming. Everything about the trip was spectacular and I took hundreds of photos. Many of those are inspiring new color palettes and gradients. I have the first of those to share today.

This photo at Jenny Lake was the inspiration for the newest gradient. The gradient has 3 coordinating Shades packs. and all are available in the shop. Click on each image to go straight to each listing.

I currently do not have a listing for a Shades pack in the darkest blue of the gradient but I can easily create it as a custom order if you want. I do a lot of custom Gradients and Shades Packs and they cost the same as the ones listed in the shop. There's no extra charge. For gradients there is a minimum 2 yard order but otherwise I can create whatever you have in mind.

Lear how to sell online!

Last year I taught an online selling workshop for CultureWorks in Richmond. Now I am on the staff of Visual Arts Center of Richmond teaching 2 classes related to online selling. 10 Things You Need To Know About Online Selling is a lecture scheduled for September 19. It's a 2 hour lecture to help you understand all that's involved in online selling. It will give you a realistic view into what's required to have a successful online shop.

If you are ready to start an online selling business then you may be interested in the 6 week workshop, Successful Online Selling. This class will take you through all aspects of setting up your business and cover legal requirements, selecting a platform, marketing, packaging, customer service and much more. Register online at Visual Arts.

Inspiration

Many artists work with paper. Some paint or draw, some quill and some sculpt. Calvin Nichollscreates 3-D paper sculptures that are also monochromatic "paintings" to hang on the wall. You have to see them to believe them and I hope you will take a few minutes to check out his website and Facebook page.
