Hello Friend
Welcome to the Something to Discover newsletter! Behind the scenes at StoD (S to D) is Kelli Smith, a 40-something gardener and homesteader in the Pacific Northwest, just north of Seattle. I love my garden, learning to eat and be healthier, and just being more natural and authentic. I have come a long way and want to share some of my journey. My hope and dream is that someday we will have an active community of people on StoD who who want to explore and discover new things in the Pacific Northwest.

Last month I started my annual evaluation of the year in the garden. It was a very good year here in the Pacific Northwest for vegetable gardens. It was a tad hot for my personal tastes though!

I had a bumper crop of basil, cucumbers, green beans, garlic, sweet peppers, cucamelons and ground cherries (which I ended up not liking too much), and lettuce. I did better than ever with my potatoes, although I would like to get a larger crop next year. I have lots of plans for next year and have already started getting seed catalogs in November! It used to be they wouldn't come until late January or later sometimes... I just wonder if they wont ship seeds until much later.

But not everything was perfect... and this post tells you of some of my mistakes in 2015. So I'm throwing it all out there for you... please dont judge too harshly!
