In 2019, the award-winning Urban LGBTQ documentary film, “party boi: black diamonds in ice castles” educated viewers around the world on the importance of HIV/AIDS awareness and the dangers of meth addiction in urban communities, while providing a rare and historically accurate origin story of “ballroom culture” – a creative form of expression that recently found mainstream recognition on the hit FX network series, “Pose.”
Written and directed by Micheal Rice, the documentary also provides an exclusive look into the tragic last days of a 26-year-old man that died in July 2017 from an apparent overdose of methamphetamine at the apartment of Democratic super-donor Ed Buck.
