Landscape Committee AKA "Dirt Club" Workday Saturday 10/31

The Dirt Club will be having our next work day on Saturday the 31st from 9-12 (or so). If you can only make it for an hour, that’s perfectly fine! We’ll go ahead with it rain or shine, unless its pouring out or there’s lightning.

Projects we’ll be working on this time are:

1- Preparing the pad for a garden shed that’s being donated to us.

2- Cleaning up of the playground.

3- Moving the stone border from the orphaned trails in front of the building to the back for use in the amphitheater by the covered basketball court behind the building.

Hopefully we see a lot of you there!

Mills Adopt-a-Landscape

The Mills Dirt Club is trying a new way to help out around campus while maximizing your social distancing! We have identified small areas around campus that families can adopt for the school year.

Most just need some weeding and TLC, though there are some areas that can have new plants or mulch added as well. The SignUpGenius below has individual details, and what work might be involved with each.

If you have any questions, please reply to the SignUpGenius. Thanks!

It’s not too late! Join Mills PTA!

Thank you so much to the parents, grandparents, teachers and faculty who have joined the PTA for the first time or renewed their membership! All of you are creating a valued partnership between family, educators and children. If you haven’t already joined there is still time to become a member and gain all the rewards from being a part of PTA. You can give as much or as little of your time as you want – there is no obligation. Come join us and show your support for our Mountain Lions!

What is included in the $10.00 dues (per member)?

▪ PTA membership and dues support your child by funding essential educational and curriculum needs; advocating on behalf of children and educators at the local, state, and national levels; and building an inclusive school community for all families. Join PTA for your child because increasing our membership, even by one, makes it possible to provide important educational resources, speak up on important issues and create a stronger school community.
▪ Your dues help support PTA-based services such as the Mills Messenger and Website.
▪ Money saving discounts at places like Schlitterbahn, Six Flags, Great Wolf Lodge, Office Depot, 1-800-Flowers and more. Go to https://www.txpta.org/member-perks for more information.
