The first Beader's Night Out of the new year is this coming Tuesday, January 3. 6:30 - 9 pm. Bring a project, start a project, or just come to get inspired!

NEW YEAR - NEW CLASSES

Classes are on the calendar for January through May, 2017. You'll find most of the regulars (Basic Stringing, Beadweaving Basics, etc.) which are generally scheduled every month. Keep reading for info about a couple of new offerings, or go to the website for ALL the DETAILS.

Let's Cellini!

The Cellini spiral looks daunting, but it's simply even-count tubular peyote. Still, we get requests for a class and truth be told, it helps to get help. The first class is scheduled for February 2nd, but there are more dates! You'll find it under the Advanced Bead Weaving Classes because students must be familiar with flat, even count peyote stitch before taking the class. DETAILS

Ukranian Swag Necklace

This is a 2-part class, with the second part (optional) the following week. Why? Because it's a horizontal netting pattern and students have to finish the entire length of the band before adding the swags. Part 2 is optional because some students may be able to start on the swags without any more help; others, not so much. The first class is scheduled for January 30, and it is also considered Advanced, as students should have previous seed beading experience before taking the class. DETAILS

Most of the Advanced Bead Weaving Classes are not on the calendar. Why? Because if you're interested it's easier to call (or e-mail) and schedule a date with Kim. You can check them all out on the website HERE. Or plan on taking a few of the beginner classes to get yourself ready for the Advanced patterns!

Tuesday, January 3rd is the next Beader's Night Out. Join us at the shop from 6:30 - 9 pm for an evening of engaging conversation, beading tips from longtime jewelry makers and some peaceful shopping.
We have a group on meetup.com called the Oak Park Area Beading Meetup. It's one way of getting the word out and growing the backtable group.
