Director of Fun, John Andres, orchestrates the course!

We had another highly successful Obstacle Course Toonie Event this past Sunday (Jan.15). 52 enthusiastic children of all ages challenged their skills and agility in our fun and crazy obstacle course along the trails and through the trees next to the Raven Lodge. A great time was had by all- and it seems like the goodie bags were a hit.

Many thanks to all of the volunteers who helped make this event such a success. Our next Toonie Event is planned for Sunday February 12th. If you would like to help organize one of these events, please contact John Andres at 923-1861.

We invite all Jackrabbit and Bunnyrabbit to participate in designing the 2018 Jackrabbit Toque, which will be worn by 10,500 Jackabbit and Bunnyrabbit skiers accross Canada!
This year, we’re adding a special theme! We would like to see designs that inspire you and all your Jackrabbits friends to cross-country ski and to always try your best! But also a design that will inspire Team Canada competing at the 2018 Olympic & Paralympic Games in South Korea!

Team Canada got inspired by the sport of cross-country skiing when they first learned as Jackrabbits, and maybe one day you could be at the Games too!

Send us your designs by March 6th, 2017 at Noon MST!

Here is the template for your design.

The criteria for entering in the contest are as follows:
Contestants must be currently enrolled in a CCC Jackrabbit or Bunnyrabbit program
Contestants must be between the ages of 5-9.

Selection process and timelines:
Contest runs from January 16th – March 6th 2017.
Designs should be submitted to Eva Hornyansky at by March 6th, 2017 at Noon MST.

Cross Country Canada will select 10 final designs and post them on the CCC Facebook page for you to vote on. The voting period will run from March 6th – 12th, 2017 at Noon MST.
Remember to join CCC's Facebook page to ‘vote for your favourite Jackrabbit design’
Announcement of the ‘winning’ toque design will be posted on CCC’s Facebook Page on March 13th, 2017.

Good Luck and have fun!

Wood Gundy School Program Gear Donation Request

If any Nordics families have some ski gloves or mitts that are no longer useful to them, please consider donating them to the school program. We have LOTS of hats but good ski hand-wear is in demand. Light wind jackets are also welcome. Please leave donations marked for Wood Gundy in the club room.

Also, if anyone has any small sized cold hardy rubber balls (for ski soccer) I am sure both jackrabbits and the school program could utilize these. Please leave them in the club room. Thanks!!

Tallon returned from the World Junior Trials in Utah, with a big smile on his face. “What a great learning experience. Racing in a huge field of the best U20 skiers from all of North America was humbling, but I gained a lot of racing experience and confidence.” Tallon was happy with his results, placing top 3 U18 Canadian in 2 out of the 3 races he entered. He is grateful to the BC ski team coaches, his club and sponsors for their support.
