MACARTHUR FOUNDATION GRANT TO SUPPORT ASIAN AMERICAN DOCUMENTARY FILMMAKERS |
CAAM-funded filmmaker Ursula Liang (9-MAN) |
“We are thrilled and deeply appreciative to receive this grant from the MacArthur Foundation, joining a national network of organizations supporting non-fiction storytellers whose voices and perspectives have been largely absent from the national narratives for far too long, and which are of vital importance to the future of the nation,” said CAAM Executive Director Stephen Gong. This grant will support the CAAM Future Fund, a program that will provide development, production, and outreach grants for projects produced by Asian American directors and producers, and work with an Asian American filmmaker network to provide mentoring and professional development opportunities for emerging filmmakers.
