PRO-LIFE LEGISLATION REQUIRES PRO-LIFE MPS
Many MPs voted against the recent Bill C-225 explicitly stating a fear of "opening the debate on abortion" as their reason for opposition even though it was not an anti-abortion bill. A large number of Members voted against this common-sense bill out of fear of simply coming near what could appear to be pro-life legislation.
This case is a powerful and timely reminder for us who stand for life and want to see pro-life legislation implemented in Canada. The very real problem we are facing is that there are simply not enough MPs willing to support the life-affirming bills that are brought forward, and none of the current party leaders are supporting opening such a debate either.
In order for us to have any hope of seeing children protected in the womb in this land, we simply must elect more MPs who would vote to support pro-life legislation.
HISTORIC OPPORTUNITY TO ELECT PRO-LIFE CPC PARTY LEADER
The Leader of a political party has immense influence over a number of factors, including the party's platform, policy, and caucus, and personally approves each and every party election candidate.
The opportunity to elect a new leader to one of Canada's primary federal parties only comes once every 12-15 years. Such an opportunity is coming to us in the Spring of 2017 when the Conservative Party of Canada (CPC) will elect its new party leader!
We are thrilled that three of the candidates in the running (thus far) for CPC Leadership have perfect voting records when it comes to pro-life issues. They are:
Pierre Lemieux (website)
Andrew Scheer (website)
Brad Trost (website)

MORE GOOD NEWS
In addition to being able to vote in this significant election, the ballot for CPC Leadership is a ranked ballot, meaning that you can, in effect, vote for all three of these pro-life candidates, in preferential order, to increase the odds of electing a pro-life leader that much more!
A strong, pro-life CPC party leader could very well be the next Prime Minister of Canada and this would be our opportunity to ensure that Canada finally sees laws protecting life in the womb!!
HOW TO GET A VOTE
In order to vote in the leadership election, you have to be a member of the Conservative Party of Canada. Membership costs $15 for one year, which covers the time in which the leadership election will be held, May 2017.
Although MY Canada is a non-partisan organization, we are urging each of our members to purchase a CPC membership for one year to help ensure that a pro-life leader is elected.
