Aretha Franklin (born March 25, 1942) celebrated her 72nd birthday last week. This 18-time Grammy winner is known for numerous hits, such as "R-E-S-P-E-C-T" and “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman", which were released in the 1960s. Franklin, the Queen of Soul, still leads an active singing career and performed at the White House alongside Patti LaBelle, Jill Scott, and other soul singers earlier this month.
