A CHRISTMAS CAROL: A STAGED RADIO PLAY & VICTORIAN HOLIDAY PARTY

7:30 PM, Thursday, December 18 (house opens at 7:15).

Adapted from Charles Dickens' holiday ghost story, our staged radio drama tells of a misanthropic pinchpenny named Ebenezer Scrooge and his ideological, ethical, and emotional transformation after the supernatural visits of Jacob Marley and the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Yet to Come.

FEATURING: Laurence Mintz, Thom Boyer, Danielle Illario, and starring Michel Jarmus as everyone's favorite Christmas crank.

WITH: Period costumes! Theatrical lighting! Golden Age radio equipment! Vintage commercials! And extensive sound effects!

AND: Smoking Bishop (alcoholic), hot chocolate (non, natch), and a variety of traditional Victorian cakes, pies, and puddings

PLUS: Three classic Victorian carols performed LIVE by jazz vocalist Danielle Illario

Advance tickets $20/$10 (ages 15 and under); $25 at the door (if available). For advance online tix (CC only), click HERE. For advance print tix (cash only), visit Marafiki Fair Trade at 20 New Street in Metuchen.

This event is co-hosted by the Borough Improvement League, the non-profit 501(c)3 organization devoted to preserving the Old Franklin Schoolhouse, and proceeds go, in part, to sustaining the rustic 1807 landmark, which will be gorgeously dressed with period holiday decorations (and a twelve foot Norway Spruce will be aglow out front).
