How can we pray for you? We are here to pray with and for you, anytime! Prayer needs sent by early Monday morning will be included in the weekly Joys & Concerns email. We are also glad to send out prayer requests and praise reports anytime throughout the week! | Encouragement Thank you to Marcia Kreps for sharing and Darla Smith for writing these weekly bits of encouragement. "I pray you are all doing well and are enjoying the presence of God. Time is ticking by this year. Hard to believe next week we will be in September. My husband and I said the older we are getting the faster it is going. Remember to make each moment you have count. None of us are promised tomorrow. Okay, onto happier thoughts. The butterflies and bees have been visiting my flowers on a regular basis - God’s beautiful masterpiece in my yard. How blessed are we? I am so thankful. It’s the little things that can bring such joy." "My WORD for this week is “AIM.” How is your aim? Dave bought a slingshot and I have been having some fun with it. I didn’t know but he took a picture of me when I was taking “aim” to shoot. I thought I looked so funny – I was totally focused on my target. God used that picture to give me His Word. Are we totally focused and taking “aim” to what really matters? Or are we getting sidetracked on other things? This totally goes with the Word from a couple weeks back – remember the squirrel? Maybe God is really trying to tell me something and to encourage others as well with taking the right “aim.” Keep our eyes towards the mark with right “aim,” so we do not miss out on what the Holy Spirit has for us. Keep our “aim” in God’s Word daily and hide it in our hearts. That way, when we may be faced with a situation or our friends are faced with a situation, we will be on target with our “aim” to have the answers and encouragement straight from the Holy Spirit. He never misses, His “aim” is perfect. I pray everyday our “aim” stay focused on what the Holy Spirit wants us to know, see, and share. I pray your week is full of opportunities to shine!" I’m not saying that I have this all together, that I have it made. But I am well on my way, reaching out for Christ, who has so wondrously reached out for me. Friends don’t get me wrong: By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but I’ve got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward—to Jesus. I’m off and running, and I’m not turning back. ~ Philippians 3:12-14 (MSG) | Fall Devotional The September/October/November edition of Our Daily Bread is now available.
