Help Abused and Neglected Animals

This 4th of July Weekend

Remember Bristol & Bones, the two dogs HSSF rescued in April? Well, they are spending this 4th of July in their new homes. With good nutrition and veterinary care, both dogs gained weight in a short period of time. Once again, their hair coat sparkled in the sunshine and their broken spirit healed. Two bowls of food a day and plenty of fresh water satisfied their appetite while at HSSF - now they have a family who loves them. Happy 4th B&B.

Help Us Protect Animals in 2016

The Humane Society of the Sierra Foothills (HSSF) enforces laws that protect animals from abuse. Due to their life-threatening conditions, animals that are rescued or legally "seized," must be treated by veterinarians, and often require special diets to reach optimal health. Before they can be adopted out, some require professional training or rehabbing as well - all of which is expensive! We are funded solely by donations, grants and sales from our Used Book Store and new Thrift & Gift Store in Auburn (in the Raley's shopping center cited above). As an independent nonprofit organization, we are not affiliated with any other entity, and we do not receive any government funding. All donations are tax-deductible.
