Dear Animal Welfare Supporter,

We're Calling her Henrietta

We see a lot of animal cruelty in our line of work but this case is gut wrenching. This sweet girl was intentionally shot and so, it rises to a higher level for us at HSSF because as research shows, this behavior is typically associated with domestic violence, child and elder abuse.

If you have a social media page, please share "Henrietta's" photo and our message. If you know someone living in this area with a hen that looks like Henrietta, please contact Officer Roach at 916-633-8388. Later today, we'll get full photos on our Facebook page to help you identify her owner(s).

This girl is one lucky Chick-en and we'll provide her with the best of care.

DONATE

Help Us Help Animals - GIVE

The Humane Society of the Sierra Foothills (HSSF) enforces laws that protect animals from abuse. Due to their life-threatening conditions, animals that are rescued or legally "seized," must be treated by veterinarians, and often require special diets to reach optimal health. Before they can be adopted out, some require professional training or rehabbing as well - all of which is expensive! As an independent nonprofit organization, we are not affiliated with any other entity, and we do not receive any government funding. All donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

PLEASE DONATE NOW!!
