"We have been having spectacular weather here in Ohio but would like a little rain to fill our rain barrel back up. The plants and flowers are thirsty. God knows what we need before we ask. He is so good to us. Summer is quickly approaching. The older I get the faster it comes." "Our Word for this week is “ENGAGE.” “Engage” means to move forward, participate, or become involved in. The more God laid this on my heart, the more excited I was. My original thought was things working together. Like the jet engine picture above. To make the plane lift off the ground, ALL the parts must “engage” with each other. Then I thought about Star Trek. (Yes, I love it!) Captain Jean Luc Piccard says, "Enterprise, engage!” meaning to move forward. I pray Holy Spirit, “engage” us with You so we can “engage” with others. When we “engage” with others through our witness and testimony, the Holy Spirit is at work. Imagine the impact we can have on the world if we will “engage.” Let us move in His Power – “engage.” Holy Spirit, get our hearts and minds right to “engage” with others like Jesus wants us to in His love. He has called us and equipped us – now Jesus is calling us to “engage” and we will help others to “engage.” Let us all work together and “engage” with each other through God’s love and our encouragement. Have a blessed week!" He makes the whole body fit together perfectly. As each part does its own special work, it helps the other parts grow, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love. ~ Ephesians 4:16 (NLT) | Summer Devotionals The June/July/August edition of Our Daily Bread has arrived.
