CAASNM'S IDA Program Receives $15,000 From Local Sponsor

First American Bank and Mr. Russell Foddrill generously donated $15,000.00 and support for Community Action Agency of Southern New Mexico's Individual Development Accounts (IDA) program. IDA participants must save $500 which, with the 8-to-1 match provided by the program, will give participants a total of $4,500 that can be used for purchasing a home, starting/expanding a business, or pursuing post-secondary education. Furthermore, IDA programs incorporate services, financial literacy and asset-specific training programs that help participants build or enhance their financial skills. First American Bank’s donation ensures that CAASNM can continue to offer high-impact programs and services that put members of our community on the path towards economic self-sufficiency.
