Bead Camp - Basics (8-14)

Bead Camp - basics (ages 8-14) is for beginners who will spend the morning learning a variety of fun and exciting techniques and have finished projects at the end of their class. Students will learn basic stringing (making a necklace), how to make pendants with glass tiles, how to make earrings and we'll make necklaces with soda cans. Level: Beginner. Cost: $50. Most supplies in this class are included.

Tuesday, March 26th from 8am - 12noon


Bead Camp - metals (11-15)

Bead Camp - metals (ages 11-15) is for those who have a little bit more experience and are looking to expand their skills. Students will learn how to make a few pairs of earrings, a wire wrapped bracelet, we'll do a bit of metal stamping, and will finish their time creating a wonderful bird's nest pendant. Level: Beginner +. Cost: $50. Most supplies in this class are included.

Thursday, March 28th from 8am - 12noon


Branching out - wire wrapped tree


Whoooo doesn't just love this little tree? You'll learn to work with square wire to create the frame for your tree pendant and we'll use thin round wire to create the tree from roots to branches. The leaves are made with bead chips and you can add a little owl or bird charm. Level: Beginner. Cost: $20

Caged stones - wire wrapped pendants


In this free form class you'll work with wire to cage a stone, creating an artistic pendant. Bring in a special found object, like sea glass, round agate, or a shell - or pick a new piece to showcase! This is a great way to practice wire working and learn how to work with beads that may not have a hole. Level: beginner. Cost: $20

Earring party

Join the party--whether you are a new beader or an experienced earring enthusiast, you will love the Earring Party! This party will make the FOUR pairs of earrings pictured. Learn different techniques incorporating head pins, wire, briolettes, and more. With the new format of our earring class, every session will offer a fresh collection of earrings so you can stay in fashion as the seasons change. Don’t worry about shopping—we’ve already found all of the coolest parts for you! Level: beginner. Cost: $30 (all supplies included)

Foundations - introduction to jewelry making

Learn the essentials to get started making your own beautiful beaded creations. Our wonderful instructors will show you how to work with tools and use basic beading supplies. During class, you will finish a necklace and a pair of earrings, and you'll gain the confidence to become a jewelry artist! Worried about getting started? All of the Colorado Bead Company team is happy to help you pick out wonderful beads for your necklace and earrings. Level: beginner. Cost: $20 (includes most supplies)

Knotty Knots pearl knotting

Pearl knotting is a great skill to have in your arsenal (this is Anne's favorite class) and she'll will teach you everything you need to know to get started. Indulge in Swarovski pearls to make this modern update to a classic style. Learn the trick to knot pearls using silk thread, creating a snug knot in between each bead. See how to finish your new bracelet using clamshells and a classy toggle clasp. A perfect addition to every outfit. Level: beginner. Cost: $30 (all supplies included)

Me & My classes

Me & My classes are the perfect kid-friendly (8+) classes for you and yours to learn something fun together. In the foundations class, learn how to string your own necklaces and make drop earrings. In the mixed media pendants class, learn how to re-purpose wooden game tiles and soda pop lids to make fun pendants, we'll also make pendants with glass tiles. These classes are not limited to moms and daughters: grandmas, sisters, aunts, and mentors of all kinds are welcome. Class costs are all per person costs.

On the class calendar and on registrations, they are marked with an "m+m."

Metal Stamping

Whether you have someone who is tricky to shop for or want to make a sentimental gift, metal stamping is a great solution. Learn to use different stamps to hammer impressions on metal blanks, creating words, names, or initials. This is a great introduction to simple metal stamping techniques. Give it a try with our tools and make special pieces for all of your friends and family or keep them all for yourself! Level: Beginner. Cost: $20.

This fun workshop is perfect for all of your stamping needs! Come in and create some fun gifts to keep for yourself or to give as gifts; all you need are your metal blanks. Level: beginner; you must have already taken our metal stamping class. Stamps and hammers are provided for your enjoyment. Cost: $5.

Reno Leather Wrapped Bracelet


A little bit country and little bit rock and roll, these leather wrapped bracelets are beautiful, fun, and can be made to go with any outfit. We use leather, thread, and a bunch of beads to make these bracelets; we'll add a button for a clasp and yeehaw, into the sunset you go! Level: beginner. Cost: $20

Twisted Treasures - wire wrapped pendants


This fun and interesting wire wrapping technique is a great way to begin creating your own unique wearable wire art! Learn how to form a net that can encase an assortment of shapes including gemstones, beads, and many other miscellaneous treasures. The only limit here is your own imagination! After twisting your way to the top of your piece, you will then be given the opportunity to embellish your pendant with coils, spirals, and beaded treasures. This creative project is a fabulous introduction to wire wrapping. Level: beginner. Cost: $20.

Upcycled Flower Necklace


Baby, it's cold outside, get a glimpse of spring with this flowery necklace. Learn how to create beaded links, wire wrap glass briolettes and make upcycled flowers from cans and glass pearls. Supplies are included in this class, all you need to bring is your lovely self and a can. Level: Beginner.

Viking Knit - Introduction


This isn't your grandma's knitting (unless your grandma was a Viking, I guess). Come explore this beautiful Viking Knit, a wire weaving technique used for centuries. In this class, you will learn how to weave thin wire into a unique bracelet. We'll weave, we'll knit, we'll make ends and add embellishments! This class lasts approximately four hours. Level: Beginner. Cost: $35.

Wire Wrapped Stone Bracelet

This project is so easy and fun to do. This festive bracelet is a great way to start and practice wire wrapping. Create beaded links with streamlined wire coils capping the top and swirling down to the other end. This is a great way to highlight individual beads with metallic detail, while getting a feel for working with wire. In this class, beads must have a hole. Level: beginner. Cost: $20

Wrapped Around Your Finger wire rings

Use simple wire wrapping techniques to create these unique rings that you'll love to wear! In this class you'll learn how to weave wire between two base wires to create your ring and finish it off with fun statement beads. Since they're adjustable, they make great gifts too! Level: Beginner. Cost: $20

You can register by calling the store at (303) 861-6823 or registering online on the class page at the Colorado Bead Co website.

Please read all of our class policies prior to registering for a class.

If you purchased a deal on classes through a deal site you must call us at 303.861.6823 to register.

Colorado Bead Co. class policies

You must cancel 72 hours prior to your class to receive a refund, gift card, or transfer to another class. If you cancel your class within 72 hours of its start time, you can receive the handout or send someone in your place.
Class fees are due at the time of registration.
Supplies are not included in the class cost, unless specifically noted. Please buy all necessary supplies before class. For the best selection, we strongly suggest you shop early.
Please arrive for class on time and prepared with your supplies.
All students are assumed to have any prerequisite skills listed within the class description.
Classes are for adults (16+) unless noted. Some exceptions can be made depending on the circumstances, so please call.
If The Colorado Bead Co. cancels a class, you will receive a full refund or a transfer to another class.
