It's been a time of crazy weather, doctor's appointments, and weather-related illnesses here in my house, so this will be a short newsletter. Look below for the new recipes posted this week and a surprise photo of kitten Loki. And remember, anyone is welcome to post recipes on, so send me your oil-free vegan recipes and photos.

New This Week

Hot and Baba'd Pita Pizza (Spicy Baba Ganoush)

I discovered by accident that the traditionally cold dip Baba Ganoush tastes great hot. So it was only a small step from there to putting it on a pita bread pizza and baking it topped with my favorite pizza ingredients. Get the recipe here.

On Slow Motion Miracle:

Maria posted two recipes on Plant Based Slow Motion Miracle. First up, there was Sunshine Carrot Salad, a delectable blend of carrots, cashews, pistachios, and pineapple.

Next, I never would have thought of making a soup from uncooked polenta, but that's what Maria's done, and it looks incredible. It's called Vegan Polenta Soup and you should check it out.

I've gotten a lot of email asking for "More Loki!" The truth is, he's either sleeping in a dark corner or a blur of activity. I'm working on getting enough video clips together to post a short action video soon, but until then, I've been posting my camera phone photos on my Instagram account. Please feel free to follow me there.

Keep warm and keep cooking,
