CO-NEWSLETTER-LOGO October

Current Oncology is pleased to introduce a new section entitled “Medical Economics”. Dr. Natasha Leighl and Dr. Nicole Mittmann, co-chairs of the Committee on Economic Analysis at the NCIC-Clinical Trials Group, co-edit this new section for the journal. Given the current health care environment of fiscal responsibility, the implementation of pay for performance indicators and health technology assessment frameworks for new technologies, there is a need for research to consider economic evaluations.

This section will provide the journal’s unique readership with a forum to discuss topical, compelling and important oncology health economic issues from national and international perspectives. We welcome submissions related to policy decision-making, economic evaluations, burden of illness studies, health preference evaluations and methodological research. The link for submissions is http://www.current-oncology.com/index.php/oncology/about/submissions.

We would also like to take the opportunity to invite you to recommend information to include in our newsletter. We welcome information that is of importance to the Oncology community such as events, oncology conferences, important publications and clinical trials. Please send any recommendations to current_oncology@multi-med.com.
