Anticipating a heavy Pluto transit to one of your natal planets or points? Bracing yourself for the impact of Uranus or the fog of Neptune? Outer planet transits can be challenging and many people come to them with a lot of fear and negative expectations. But fear is a constrictive emotion and can end up making your experience of the transit even more difficult. Here's why it may be better to relax, let go and enjoy the ride.
I've been on a wild Plutonian ride for the last two years. Currently conjunct my natal Venus and applying to my natal Sun and Moon, all of which are conjunct in Capricorn, the planet of birth, death and regeneration has been catalysing some pretty intense and life changing experiences for me. A series of major and often uncomfortable upheavals, including marriage, two overseas relocations and the conception of my first child, have seen me riding a roller coaster of emotions.
Fear has been a particular difficult emotion to manage and looking back I can see it was when I gave into the fear that things got stuck and I began to feel as though my life was not in alignment with my ongoing growth and learning. On the other hand, when I let go of the fear and allowed myself to flow with the changes without resistance, I found that although circumstances were tumultuous, things seemed to fall into place at the last minute.
I truly believe that outer planet transits are designed to trigger the aspects in our natal charts at certain key points in our lives in order to initiate spiritual growth spurts, much like an inner computer program. Although this may require us to let go of things, people and circumstances that we've become attached to, and although this process can be painful and unsettling, ultimately we emerge stronger and more free.
So don't fear that upcoming Neptune, Uranus or Pluto transit. Instead, take it in stride, knowing you are inbuilt with the strength, courage and skills to deal with it. It's all part of your personal journey of life, a journey that unfolds most easily and clearly when we are awake and aware. So instead of getting stressed out and worrying about what you may encounter in the future, get centered in the here and now. Then relax, let go and enjoy the ride...
