Happy new year!

2012 has been a successful year for the Academy. The number of members is steadily growing and in particular young scientists in the field of Manual Musculoskeletal Medicine have entered the Academy.

The activities that have been organised in 2012 are the 9th International Instructional Course for Reproducibility for Diagnostics in MM Medicine in Paris in good cooperation with our French colleagues and in Bratislava the 4th Academy Conference together with the Czech and Slovak Annual Science meeting.

Parijs: Up to 40 instructors of different post-university MM-Medicine schools were present in the University (XIII) of Paris to learn the format to perform a repro-study. Course language was in French (evaluation results 8.5 out of 10).
Bratislava: Outside the scientific contributions of the Academy Committees about efficacy, reliability and educational science, many young scientists presented their preliminary results of their studies. We thank our Conference Committee and the Slovak MM Society for the organisation.

In 2013, the Academy will develop new international instructional courses about validity of diagnostics and how to read scientific papers. Furthermore, the 5th Academy Conference will be organised in Bordeaux in cooperation with our French colleagues. We planned to release the preliminary programme by the end of February. We are looking forward to a better cooperation with national and international organisations such as the FIMM. We have to note that the Academy has grown to a healthy organisation, that meet the need for an international platform for scientists and educationalists in the field of MM Medicine and related medical disciplines.

We wish you all the best for the coming year!
