NEW YORK, New York (05/27/2011) – Dubbed Best Oddball Night by New York Magazine, URDB World Records returns to Joe's Pub with a lineup of 80s themed world records on SATURDAY, JUNE 18th at 11:30 PM. This one-off event is a benefit for the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research,

With Brooklyn jazz trio Blastoff!!! providing an 80s soundtrack, the night will feature an eclectic lineup of local stars and everyday folk attempting live world records. Past URDB shows have seen the likes of Reggie Watts, Morgan Murphy, M. Doughty, Arden Myrin, Ben Greenman and AJ Jacobs onstage, plus legendary feats including Largest Group "Meow" Rendition Of 'Lean On Me' and Fastest Time To Name All Star Trek TV Episodes In Broadcast Order.

The event will hosted by URDB co-founders Dan Rollman and Corey Henderson, known for their outrageous segments on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon. Full lineup to be announced shortly, but confirmed record setters include comedian Jon Friedman, Late Night With Jimmy Fallon writer Cory Cavin and world push-up champion Shaun McDaniel. There will also be an open mic for audience members interested in setting their own record.

"Our events are known for individual heroism, group participation, hilarity, surprise and all-around general chaos," says URDB co-founder and event host Dan Rollman. "We've seen everything from the world's tallest carrot cake to 12 women standing on top of a man rolled up in a carpet."

URDB will also appear at UCB Theater as part of the legendary Sketchfest NYC, hosting a lineup of sketch-related world records on THURSDAY, JUNE 9th at 10 PM.
