Dr. Ruth MacDonald is the Professor and Department Chair, Food Science and Human Nutrition Department at Iowa State University. She received her PhD in Nutrition/Food Science from the University of Minnesota, and her research interests include identifying factors in foods that reduce the incidence or progression of cancer. She has helped Best Food Facts answer consumer questions about additives, GMOs, and much much more!
